Tebow

I can't confirm the stats, so I can't comment on the apparent providential alignment, but putting aside the question of "coincidence", it's striking how he evangelized tens of millions of biblically illiterate, unchurched sports fans just by having eye blacks with Bible verses which they Googled:

  1. ~ The stats just might be true. I just found this in Wiki:

    The 3:16 Game - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_3:16_game

You can read the more pertinent facts down below and follow through on the citations.

While we have to be really careful with this kind of stuff (e.g. the Bible Code), it needs to be mentioned that these sort of things have happened in the lives of believers. One thing that comes to mind is from Loren Cunnigham's - the founder of YWAM - autobiography. Cunningham tells the story of a couple, Jimmie and Jannie who have been childless for 11 years but then most remarkably give birth to twins, born 7 minutes apart on 7/7/77.

  2. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports/college/ncaa-trying-ban-messages-eye-black-under-the-tebow-rule/NJlksa03cqCtGMLhJtFA7I/ includes this: "After the 2009 BCS Championship Game, 92 million people Googled 'John 3:16,' the verse Tebow wore during the game."

He said "94 million" in the video, which is pretty close to what was reported there. It's possible either he mistakenly remembered it or that there were other sources that had different numbers since I'm sure those are estimates anyway.
